It’s both good and bad in my opinion – good that the light covers more area but the downside is, your vision will be limited only to the hair adjacent to the light during the glides.
Also, using the travel lock button (smaller one beneath the power button), you can turn on the guide light and change its tone from warm to cool.
When the trimmer is turned off, press and hold the travel lock button for engaging and disengaging it, the LED light flow direction will tell you if you’ve succeeded.

Is it Safe for Skin?
Skin safety is to be measured differently for various body parts – for manscaping, pubic hair and butt trimming, Manscaped 5 is very safe and can be operated without guards.
Same is applicable for the foil head regarding these parts, despite the two edges of stainless steel blades popping out on either side.
Now, when it comes to ball trimming, Manscaped 5 is certainly an improvement over its previous generations as it ensures better safety and minimum threat of cuts.

Trimming Closeness
